Lunch time sadness
Imagine Tomohiro getting up to throw his lunch tray away, but he can’t seem to find the garbage can, so he has to go out of the cafeteria to find the one out by one of the classroom doors. As he dumps his tray out into the garbage can, he hears sniffles in the classroom. Scrunching his face up in concern, he looks into the classroom only to see Kai sitting in one of the seats, silently crying to himself, which made him worry because Kai is the last person he’ll ever see cry.
“Kai? Is everything ok?” Tomohiro asks as he slowly approaches the red head. He hesitates to lay his hand on his shoulder in fear of a reaction he didn’t want. Collecting all the bravery available, he does just that and the boy continues to cry in front of his classmate.
“Shimada, you can tell me anything, you know that, right?”
“Yea-h…” Shimada says, but his breath hitches into a small laugh that he tries but fails to conceal. Ohkawa didn’t quite catch that and wraps an arm around his classmate to comfort him.
“What’s wrong?” The curly haired brunette asks.
All that came out of Kai’s mouth was a mix between a sob and giggle..that surely became a fit of giggles. Ohkawa was beyond confused at this point, but still kept his arm around the red head.
“M-my c-cookie fell out of m-my h-h-hands…and it was the last oooonneeee!” Kai said between sobs and falls into Tomohiro’s arms a blubbery mess.
Facepalm Ohkawa ensues.
